Reasoning:

In this case we can reach a decission simply based on the number of the observed signals.
Molecule A   would give rise to four signals with different chemical shifts, while
Molecule B   is in a trans conformation, a highly symmetrical structure that should give rise to only two signals. These should furthermore show strong coupling because of their vicinal position and the coupling over a p bond.
